Effective 19 July 2026
The short version.
• A tip buys AI-inference credit for a creator — prepaid compute, not money.
• Credit is spendable only on AI models through OpenRouter. It is never cash, never withdrawable, never transferable, and carries no cash value.
• Every fee is shown on the tip page before you pay. Credit does not expire and has no fees.
• TokenTip is the seller of that compute — not a bank, wallet, or money transmitter.
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the individual operator of TokenTip, a service operated by a sole proprietor (“TokenTip”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, tipping, or claiming credit, you agree to them.
TokenTip sells prepaid access to artificial-intelligence inference compute, which we call “Credit.” When you tip, you purchase Credit that we deliver to the creator you choose. TokenTip is the merchant of record for that purchase and the seller of the compute; we fulfil it through our AI-inference provider (currently OpenRouter).
Credit can be redeemed only for AI-model inference through OpenRouter. Credit is not money, a deposit, a bank balance, a security, or stored monetary value. It is not redeemable, refundable, or withdrawable as cash, cannot be transferred to anyone other than the creator it was purchased for, and has no cash value. A Credit balance is expressed as a US-dollar spending limit only to describe how much compute it buys.
Credit does not expire and carries no dormancy, inactivity, service, or maintenance fees. It remains available to the creator until spent on inference.
Because Credit is delivered as consumable compute, tips are non-refundable once the Credit is delivered. If you believe a charge was unauthorized or made in error, contact us before disputing and we will work with you. A payment dispute or chargeback may result in the associated Credit being disabled or reversed, including after it has been delivered.
Your identity on TokenTip is your GitHub account; you may claim only the tip page that matches your GitHub login. Credit is provided to you as a spending limit on an API key that is displayed once at claim time and never stored by us in full. You are responsible for safeguarding that key. Use of the key is also subject to OpenRouter’s and the underlying model providers’ terms, pricing, and model availability, which can change.
You may not use TokenTip for fraud, card testing, money laundering, or any unlawful purpose. To protect the service we apply rate and volume limits, holding periods, and solvency ceilings, and we may hold, decline, or disable Credit and keys we reasonably believe are associated with abuse.
Payments are processed by Stripe; inference is provided by OpenRouter and the underlying model providers. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing changes, or model outputs. Token-yield figures shown on the site are estimates based on live third-party pricing and are not guarantees.
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or the quality or accuracy of any model output.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TokenTip’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
We store your GitHub handle and account id, your tip and Credit records, and a non-secret “fingerprint” of your key (its first and last characters). We do not store your full API key or your card number. We use this data to operate the service and prevent abuse.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Contact us at dj@codetestcode.io.
